My name is Ana Luisa Barbosa Brandão and since high school I got the nickname Ana B² because my two surnames start with B.
I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro and I was this kid who loved drawing and never got over it. That passion took me to graphic design school where I developed a keen eye for detail and everything visual. Not long after graduating I moved to Germany with a wish to see what was out there in the world and experience a new culture.
Fast forward, almost 10 years later, in 2021, when I got my daughter and started sewing clothes for her, I had a hard time finding the fabrics that I liked. Eventually I learned about Spoonflower, this website where anyone can create and print their own patterns on any fabric. I loved the idea and I felt this urge to create! I fell in love with pattern making and ever since I’ve been running a successful Spoonflower shop with regular sales. And now I finally have the perfect fabrics to sew anything for my daughter, for me and hopefully, for you too!
I’m heavily inspired by the nature and the colors from Brazil and also the culture here in Germany, I often to do a mix of both of these worlds. I love working with saturated colors and my motivation is to bring joy with beautiful things into our everyday life. Wanna see my work? Check out my Portfolio.
